The HNC/D Travel and Tourism Management is designed for those who wish to enter into or progress within employment in the travel and tourism sector. The programme will enable you to apply your professional expertise and practical skills in the workplace. The HNC/D HND Travel and Tourism Management can be studied as stand-alone programmes or can form part of a three-year degree programme leading to the Sheffield Hallam University BSc (Hons) International  Hospitality and Tourism Management award. Successful completion of the HND allows direct entry to a one-year top-up to Honours Degree.

Online distance learning. Stand alone course or part of a three year degree.

Duration:

Minimum 12 months for the BTEC HNC in Travel & Tourism Management and a further 6 months for the HND. 18 months in total to HND. However, this programme is flexible and can be extended to a maximum of five years.

Entry requirements:

  • There are no formal entry requirements, however candidates should have achieved a certain academic level equivalent to an ‘A’ Level or GNVQ, or have at least two years full-time work experience.

Enrolment dates:

October, January, April and July.
