A) Currently unemployed. Moving in the next few months with family to Kenya (Nairobi) for my wife's job, and look for job-opportunities there

Q) When and which programme did you study at RDI ML?

A) Bradford MBA, Jan 2006 - Dec 2007

Q) Why did you study at RDI ML?

A) It offered an MBA at the University of Bradford. At the time a top 60 MBA (FT Rankings). I was familiar with the university, since my wife did the same program In England. Good value for money and the program offered the flexibility of distance learning and studying in HK in my own pace

Q) Any adversity or challenges along the way? How did you overcome them?

A) No significant ones. Since I was not working at the time of studying, it was sometimes difficult to apply the material studied and I had to relate it back to my 22 years of work experience. E.g. I could not write assignments related to a real work problems or issues

Q) How has higher education changed your life & career?

A) Besides learning a lot of business concepts, My personal development gained very much from studying an MBA. Development of soft skills such as time management, writing skills and developing a much broader view of how to run a business. It enhanced my self-confidence and cross-cultural perspective. Since I have not worked since finishing my MBA, I can’t tell yet how it will change my career

Q) How has it affected your family?

A) Although studying an MBA was demanding and put strains on the family and pressure on myself and my relationship, it did not affect my family. They were very supportive

Q) The best moment while studying with our centre

A) The interaction and creation of lasting friendships and bonds with fellow students and lecturers. The tutorials. The personal support from ML and the time periods after doing exams and handing in assignments on time

Q) Do you wish to pursue any further study? If so what programme would you choose?

A) Either a DBA or a PhD
