He will share his experience in innovative marketing and how it has leas to success for the TSL Jewellery business.

Ricky Ng is TSL Jewellery (H.K.) Co. Limited’s General Manager for Hong Kong & Macau overseeing the sales operations, marketing & product planning across the region.
He previously worked in PCCW limited as Assistant Vice President, Channel Marketing. Prior to PCCW, Ricky had over 18 years of experience in Retail Sales & Marketing management and Business Development in Telecom, FMCG and Fashion & Apparels industries including Giordano Ltd, Swire Resources Ltd, Okashi Land (零食物語) & SUNDAY Communications.
Ricky graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (1992) and an MBA degree from Macquarie University (Sydney, 2004).
He was also the judge for Hong Kong Retail Management Association Service & Courtesy Award from 2004-2007 and delivered outstanding service achievements in various organizations.

Guest Lecture on "Knowledge Economy and Firms Growth"
Presented by Dr. H. Seddighi, Senior Lecturer, Sunderland Business School
Developed cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and other emerging cities in Asia are increasingly replying their growth on knowledge economy. It is therefore very relevant that in this guest lecture, Dr. Seddighi focuses on value innovation and co-creation activities of firms as the main driver of growth in a knowledge economy. It will discuss the changing international market conditions and focus on how innovative firms respond to those changes to achieve growth.

University of Bradford Graduation Ceremony
There were a total of 90 students graduated in 2009 from the University of Bradford, School of Management. 57 graduated from BSc (Hons) Business & Management, 27 MBA and 4 MSc.
There were 3 people graduated with Distinction and 6 graduated with Merit.
The Dean of Bradford Business School said in his speech that he's always very impresses by good results from Bradford RDI students in Hong Kong and Asia. This is especially impressive for RDI students who are mostly working professionals and have to juggle studying with fulltime jobs, family, and social life.

University of Sunderland Graduation Ceremony
In October 2009, 95 RDI students graduated from the University of Sunderland 68 BABM, 16 BAAFM and 11 MBA. Prof. Peter Fiddler, the Vice Chancellor & Chief Executive of the University of Sunderland, began by asking all graduates to stand up and saluted their families and friends. Immediately the room was filled with applause. 2 years ago these students applied to RDI HK to study for the Sunderland Top up BABM, BAAFM or MBA. 2 years later they are proud graduates and they join an RDI family.

Stuart Evans, Assistant Director (Planning and Information) of the Validation Unit, University of Wales, visited RDI Hong Kong offices in Central on Saturday, 16th January 2010; met a couple of Wales Students in Hong Kong and met with RDI regional Director for Asia Pacific.

RDI Hong Kong EV event took place last week on Wednesday, 20th January 2010. RDI Edexcel students have been enjoying their studies through ilearn.

"Entrepreneurship Revisited" workshop -- an RDI IMA benefit
Share your opinion about being entrepreneur here
Why are we afraid of becoming an entrepreneur? Is it fear of losing regular income? Is it lack of courage?
This workshop was very successfully attened and the audience was engaged in lively discussion about entrepreneurial spirit, well-known and inspiring entrepreneurs in Asia and in the world, their characteristics and drive. Participants shared their thoughts on what stopped them to become an entrepreneur, their fears and their struggle to keeep a business going.
Academic Visits to RDI by University Partners

Workshop with tutors: Continuous development is paramount for RDI and Bradford School of Management. Our hand-picked tutors participated in development session organized by RDI and Bradford School of Management to ensure that we are always up-to-date with the latest development in business and management teaching.
Sessions with students: Bradford students in Hong Kong met senior academics. Students from outside Hong Kong "met" virtually through telephone and Skype. Lauren (Bradford BSc L3) student said that she felt so much better after the meeting knowing that she, like everyone else who studied in the UK, is juggling between assignments and daily busy life. Others said that they just wanted to say hello.
Sessions with potential students: Potential students who came to RDI for Information Day had an opportunity to meet Bradford academics. Their CVs were looked at, one to one session took place and they left RDI centers knowing whether or not the course is for them. It's great!
